Fly Me To The Moon, a favorite of Gypsy Jazz artists and enthusiasts, was written by Bart Howard in 1954 and is a standard in the Great American Songbook.
My collaboration with Filippo Dall ‘Asta on this great song is another step in my journey as a Gypsy Jazz artist.
Filippo is an international Gypsy Jazz guitarist, who has shared the stage with many of the greats from the genre, as well as leads his own group, the Filippo Dall ’Asta Trio.
In addition, Filippo is an excellent instructor and provides a fantastic training program for those musicians who want to learn Gypsy Jazz.
A mentor is vital and invaluable when pursuing your goal, your dream, or your inward desire to become the person you want to be and the one that you know you were born to become.
You need a travel companion, a guide to help you reach your destination.
Your mentor will be someone that has reached or surpassed even the place of your desires.
I have been honored and blessed to meet with Filippo on a regular basis for over a year.
He assists me with creating a list of actions that I complete before our next meeting.
This keeps me focused and accountable.
A mentor will answer the questions that you have as you make your journey.
A mentor will save you time which would be lost, if you had to figure things out by yourself.
If you are doing something that is not beneficial to reaching your goal, your mentor can being your attention to that action.
You can spend hours searching the internet, watching countless videos (most of which will tell you different approaches and really get you confused) or you can invest in a mentor that will help you stay on the track of reaching your personal goal.
It is well worth the investment in yourself to choose a mentor.
Are you ready to fly to the moon and achieve those things which may at the present seem impossible?
Check out our music video and as you listen, think of and write down those who you may enlist to help you arrive at your desired destination.
I hope you enjoy the song and let me know how you are progressing!
THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES ….
